Vote on Tuesday, November 6
Don't forget to vote for Mayor Sheila Dixon on Tuesday, November 6. The general election is that day and Mayor Dixon needs your support. Polls are open from 7 am to 8 pm and all registered voters in Baltimore City are eligible to participate.

I'm supporting Mayor Dixon because of her commitment to a cleaner, greener, healthier and safer Baltimore. She's tackling the tough issues and moving our city forward. She's working to improve education by recruiting the best teachers, building 21st century learning environments and by improving accountability. And, she's fighting crime by getting the most violent offenders off of our streets, getting tough on illegal guns, ensuring that police engage with our communities and addressing the root causes of crime.

Mayor Dixon has the toughness and compassion to continue leading our city. She's been endorsed by the Baltimore Sun, Governor Martin O'Malley, Rep. Kweisi Mfume, The Afro and scores of unions and civic organizations. As the Baltimore Sun noted, "There's no better time for Sheila Dixon to be mayor of Baltimore than now. After 20 years in public office, she knows the political terrain, the pitfalls of the job and, most inviting, the promise that the office holds for improving a city that she knows and loves. She is the Democratic candidate best suited to advance the city's successes and improve upon its failings." And, as Governor Martin O'Malley said, "(Mayor Dixon) has the experience and the energy to bring people together to produce results - to solve problems - and improve the quality of life for the people of our City."

Every vote counts - especially in an election that hasn't received much publicity. I would personally appreciate it if you went to the polls tomorrow and cast your ballot for Mayor Sheila Dixon - the right woman for the job!
